Erni is offering a 1 mm centreline PCI Express (PCIe) connector family that includes X1 (36 pins), X4 (64 pins), X8 (98 pins) and X16 (164 pins) right-angled connectors.
These card edge devices are designed to meet the requirements of PCI Express architectures that call for a point-to-point full duplex I/O bus connector.
The connectors are right-angled.
They provide board-to-board distances ranging from 5.84 to 16.68 mm and are compatible with 1.6 to 2.4 mm thick motherboards and 1.6 mm thick daughter cards.
The connectors are available in three stack heights of 5.84, 11.17 and 16.68 mm and are equipped with moulded polarisation keys to prevent improper insertion of the daughter cards.
The connectors provide a solder termination length of 2.54 mm.
The layout is arranged in a four-row format with 2 mm pitch and the provision of two holes for locater pegs.
This enables it to be securely assessed and easily soldered through a lead-free wave soldering process.
Each serial link supports 2.5 Gbps (per direction) in 100 W Gen1 systems.
