Harting har-flex circuit board connector range
The har-flex product range provides solutions for circuit board connections in industrial devices. The variants available cover a wide range of board-to-board and board-to-cable applications in a contact pitch of 1.27 mm.
Featuring a compact but robust design, the range ensures reliable operation at all times, says Harting, even under adverse conditions. Two large holders ensure that the connectors are held firmly in place using SMT joints.
A low wear insertion and withdrawal procedure is ensured by a very smooth contact point between the male and female contacts. This is the result of the company's special follow-up treatment applied in the punching process.
This characteristic also has a positive impact on vibration resistance and has been verified according to test standards.
The IDC connector for flat ribbon cable also meets robust requirements. A secure catch prevents unintentional removal from the circuit board.
A tensile relief clamp is available, as an option to protect the cable insulation displacement connection from the impact of force.
In addition to the individual IDC connectors, the company also offers prefabricated cables in individual designs. The different variants can be freely combined and enable modular device configurations.
The spatial requirement on the circuit board is minimised due to the variable number of contacts from six to 100. Data transmission requirements of modern transmission protocols are met, such as gigabit ethernet (GbE) and PCI Express. In this way, the high level of performance of modern computers is combined with the robustness of industrial devices.
