SCHURTER DS11 and DT31 smart connectors

SCHURTER has launched the internal Smart Connector DS11 and the external Smart Connector DT31, to enable conventional electronic devices to be converted into intelligent devices. Both connectors are part of the Smart Ecosystem from SCHURTER.

With the internal Smart Connector DS11, SCHURTER has launched an intelligent connector that can be installed as a power entry module in electronic devices and systems. Equipment and device manufacturers can thus offer customers additional functions without any costly development and engineering work.

The DT31 is an external plug-and-play and retrofit smart connector. This connector variant can be connected to an existing device without installation. As users can link existing devices with the pluggable DT31, it is suitable for monitoring the use and consumption of existing devices. In hospitals for example, technical staff can use the DT31 to monitor the operating hours of existing medical devices and determine how often the devices are in use.

Both connectors of the Smart Products range have a WLAN connection. The internal DS11 also has a serial interface for direct connection to the host device. Both connectors are also IEC-60320 compatible. The connectors are also part of a comprehensive, cloud-based software system. Users can access their Smart Products via the Smart Ecosystem from SCHURTER; the cloud services are included in the scope of delivery for the DS11 and GT31.
