Thursday, 04 April, 2013 | Supplied by: Allyanz Pty Ltd

Enabling designers to rapidly add new features and differentiate cost-sensitive, space-constrained, low-power products, the small footprint iCE40 LP384 FPGA from Lattice Semiconductor is suitable for applications such as portable medical monitors, smartphones, digital cameras, e-readers and compact embedded systems.

The iCE40 LP384 has a capacity of 384 LUTs, consumes 25 µW static core power and comes in packages as small as 2.5 x 2.5 mm with a migration path to 2.0 x 2.0 mm. It is the smallest member of the company’s expanding iCE40 family of ultralow-density FPGAs.

Lattice’s iCEcube2 development software is a feature-rich development platform for the iCE40 FPGAs. It includes key features and functions that help facilitate the design process for mobile applications, including a project navigator, constraint editor, floor planner, package viewer, power estimator and static timing analyser.
