USB storage ‘keys’

Monday, 01 June, 2009 | Supplied by: LaCie Pty Ltd

LaCie has released three ways to carry digital content on a key ring — the itsaKey, iamaKey and PassKey USB 2.0 devices.

Built of metal, itsaKey and iamaKey store up to 8 GB of flash memory. The PassKey has a built-in microSD (or micro-SDHC) card reader.

The Gold SIP connector on the iamaKey is both water and scratch resistant, making it one of the thinnest and most durable flash drives available.

The itsaKey has fast transfer rates (read mode up to 30 MBps and write mode up to 10 MBps) and is shockproof. It is available in 4 and 8 GB capacities.

iamaKey also has fast transfer rates (read mode up to 30 MBps and write mode up to 10 MBps) and it, too, is shock- and scratch-proof and water resistant.

Available in 4 and 8 GB capacities.

PassKey is compatible with all microSD cards and is driver free under Windows/MacOS and Linux-based systems. It has push/push microSD connectors for good reliability.
