Renesas system-on-chip with OS support

Renesas has announced its support of the Windows Embedded Compact 7 operating system for the company’s systems-on-chip (SoCs) including the R-Car series. Standard, familiar tools extend the reach that Windows developers have into new categories of small devices that can be integrated with other Windows-based solutions.

Embedded Compact 7 provides resources for designers, developers and original equipment manufacturers to produce high-performing, reliable and differentiated devices more quickly with the latest tools and technology including Internet Explorer with Adobe Flash 10.1 integrated; and integrated development tools such as Platform Builder, Visual Studio, Expression Blend, and Silverlight for Windows Embedded user interface framework.
