Perfectron’s 1U Rackmount Fanless Rugged System, the ROC235A, is an industrial-grade server which is based on Intel’s QM77 chipset and supports Intel’s high-performance Core i3-3120ME, Core i5-3610ME and Core i7-3610QE processors.

The product features wide-range DC inputs (9-24 V) and a wide operating temperature range from -20 to +70°C, and supports dual 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM system memory up to 8 GB DDR3 1333/1600 SDRAM capacity. It is suitable for digital signage, industrial automation and self-service applications.

The system’s thermal design solution incorporates six copper liquid-vapour vacuum tubes (heat pipes) which efficiently manage heat dissipation. The rugged mechanical structure provides vibration resistance and the ability to maintain computing performance.

The device features a black finish and measures 1.73″ high. Instead of a fan, the enclosure features large, open honeycomb vents on the top, sides, front and back to allow for natural convection cooling. The design can dispel heat quickly without occupying much space.

The rackmount server contains rich indicators including power, HDD and LAN LEDs located in the front panel. For integration with a variety of applications, a range of I/O connections are available such as three display interfaces (HDMI, DVI-D and VGA), audio mic-in, line-out, one COM port, two Ethernet LAN and four USB. Onboard PCI, PCIe and mPCIe expansion slots allow users to add additional functionality such as Wi-Fi or GPRS.
