ICP DAS WISE-7901 user-defined I/O expansion PoE module

The WISE-7901 user-defined I/O expansion PoE module from ICP DAS functions as a control unit for use in remote logic control and monitoring in various industrial applications. WISE (web inside, smart engine) offers a user-friendly and intuitive website interface that allows users to implement if-then-else control logic on controllers with just a few clicks - no programming required.

The device follows IEEE 802.3af-compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) specification. It allows the receiving of power from PoE-enabled networks by ethernet pairs (via ethernet cable).

This provides greater flexibility and higher efficiency, simplifying system design, saving space, reducing cables and eliminating the requirement for dedicated electrical outlets.

If used within a non-PoE environment, it can still receive power from auxiliary power sources such as AC adapters or batteries.

The module supports Modbus/TCP protocol to enable seamless integration with SCADA software where available. It also supports an I/O expansion bus to implement various I/O functions such as D/I, D/O, A/D and D/A.
