Targus has launched an enhanced docking station with video output capability. The USB 2.0 docking station enables users to connect to an external monitor, network connection, speakers and microphone as well as four USB devices such as a keyboard, mouse and printer.

The station attaches to a Windows-based laptop via a USB 2.0 single connection and then connects all devices. There are two ‘always on’ high-power USB ports that continue charging USB devices or peripherals such as a Blackberry, iPhone, iPod or camera, even when the station is no longer connected to the laptop, or when the laptop is in sleep mode.

The docking station can be positioned beside the computer, enabling users to insert and remove devices as needed. It can also be placed underneath the laptop, to deliver an ergonomic tilt for more comfortable typing and ventilation.

The ‘one touch’ interface allows users instant plug-and-play connections with multiple devices. There are eight connections in total, four USB ports - including two high-power USB ports - one ethernet (10/100) for high-speed network connections, one DVI video port and two 3.5 audio ports for speakers/headphones or a microphone.
