TL6100 series tactile switches

Monday, 17 January, 2005 | Supplied by: Soanar Limited

E-Switch has introduced the TL6100 series of tactile switches that are process sealed to prevent contamination of the switch contacts during wave soldering or water-wash processes.

Designed for through-hole mounting on a circuit board, the switches are suitable for computer keyboards, personal digital assistants, video games, mobile phones, appliances and electronic instrumentation.

Available with either a phosphor bronze dome or a stainless steel dome, the series features a mechanical life that ranges from 100,000 to 1 million cycles.

Force requirements are available in 130, 160, 300 and 500 g. Actuator heights can be specified at 4.70, 5.20, 6.90 and 9.90 mm.

The switches are rated at 1 VA for silver contacts, and 0.2 VA for gold. Maximum switching voltage is 50 and initial contact resistance is 50 milliohm at 5 VDC. Operating temperatures range from -40 to +85°C for silver contacts and 40 to +125°C for gold contacts.
