Luminary Micro has released the Stellaris LM3S811 evaluation kit with ARM RealView microcontroller development kit (MDK-ARM) evaluation software.
The compact kit spans the design spectrum from evaluation to prototyping to application-specific design by functioning as both an evaluation platform for the LM3S811 microcontroller and a serial in-circuit debug interface for any Stellaris microcontroller-based target board.
The kit features: 50 MHz ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontroller, with 64 K flash, 8 K SRAM, analog comparator, five channels of 10 bit ADC at 500 k samples per second, six motion control unit PWM generators, two UARTs, SSI, I2C, GPIOs, internal temperature sensor, watchdog timer, four general-purpose timers, on-chip low dropout voltage regulator, and on-chip brown-out reset and power-on reset functions
96 x 16 pixel OLED display user-programmable push-button and LED reset push-button and power indicator LED thumbwheel potentiometer input to the on-chip ADC serial in-circuit debug interface over USB evaluation copy of ARM RealView microcontroller development kit (MDK-ARM) tools with Keil uVision debugger peripheral driver library, which provides a no-hassle method of initialising, programming and controlling peripherals on Stellaris microcontrollers port and example application using FreeRTOS.org small footprint real-time operating system.
The board is powered over USB (cable included) and also contains silk-screened through-hole-mount pin headers that can be user populated with pin stake headers for use in hardware prototyping.
Using a standard 20 pin ARM JTAG debug cable (also included), the Stellaris LM3S811 evaluation kit can be used as a serial in-circuit emulator for the user''s application-specific target board.
