Red Lion Graphite 12.1″ HMI

Red Lion Controls has released its latest addition to the Graphite series of human machine interfaces (HMI) — a 12.1″ HMI to meet demanding sunlight-readable applications. With all cast-aluminium construction, the Graphite series provides a rugged HMI solution combining a wide range of versatile plug-in modules with protocol conversion, data logging and web-based monitoring and control.

The Graphite series allows users to connect, monitor and control processes in industries that include manufacturing, oil and gas and water/wastewater. The series offers a range of plug-in modules that enable users to easily integrate digital and analog I/O, as well as advanced communications modules to create powerful HMI solutions, with an option to expand to meet changing business requirements.

The Red Lion Graphite 12.1″ HMI offers a UV-protected display with widescreen-format 1280 x 800 resolution, making it easily viewable even in direct sunlight. The model features a bright 1600 nits display, enabling users to easily monitor and control production equipment in any lighting condition.

The HMI is supported by Red Lion’s Crimson 3.1 software, making it fast and easy to configure protocols, define data tags, set up sophisticated applications and customise the user interface. The software also supports OPC UA Server and Client, MQTT connectors for Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Ignition Sparkplug.

Graphite HMIs are available in eight different models, in sizes ranging from 7″ to 15″, with sleek bezels that provide a large display given their overall dimension. The 12.1″ joins the 7″ and 10.4″ HMIs as sunlight-readable models, suitable for harsh outdoor environments.
