Backplane Systems Technology has launched the Neousys FLYC-300, a lightweight drone mission computer powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX, designed for UAV and drone applications. Weighing 297 g, the device offers robust AI capabilities with up to 100 TOPS GPU performance, making it a powerful tool for autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance and object detection.

This mission computer supports a range of camera and sensor interfaces, including RGB, infrared, hyperspectral cameras, LiDAR and 3D cameras. It features two GbE and two USB3 ports, as well as two GMSL2 ports for HDR and 3D cameras, to facilitate versatile connectivity. It also includes built-in UART and CAN interfaces for interaction with flight controllers, enhancing the drone’s stability and control.

The computer is equipped with an M.2 2230 slot for storage and supports 4G/5G communication, facilitating real-time data transmission. Its wide voltage input range (4S to 14S battery packs) and XT30 DC-IN connector make it adaptable for various drone configurations.

This device transforms UAV systems by integrating advanced AI and vision technologies, improving operational effectiveness, reducing risks and providing real-time information. Its lightweight and versatile design make it suitable for immediate deployment in diverse real-world applications, from environmental monitoring to infrastructure inspection.
