Moxa CSM-200 series slide-in ethernet-to-fibre modules

Moxa has released the CSM-200 series of slide-in ethernet-to-fibre modules for the NRack System.

The modules provide media conversion from 10/100BaseT(X) to 100BaseFX (SC or ST connector) for fibre-optic transmission up to 40 km. For secure remote failure detection of connected devices, the series supports the TS-1000 protocol.

Users can switch between store-and-forward mode for high-performance throughput and cut-through mode for real-time response with a DIP switch.

The series also features hot swapping.

The modules are used with the company’s NRack System that consists of three major components: a 19-slot rack-mount chassis, slide-in modules for ethernet-to-fibre and serial-to-fibre expansion, and power supply modules.

The system accommodates up to 19 slide-in modules within its rack-mountable chassis and is supplied with an AC/DC power input.

Designed for simple wiring in high-density applications, the system media converters are suitable for centralised management applications that require multiple converters to be deployed in a confined space.

The series supports the company’s Turbo Ring and can work with EDS series switches for applications in harsh environments that require a rugged solution with high-density media conversion.
