Mean Well IRM-30 PCB power supply module

Tuesday, 04 November, 2014 | Supplied by: ADM Instrument Engineering Group

The IRM series PCB-mountable power supply modules, from Mean Well, are suitable for OEMs. The latest product in the range is the 30 W IRM-30.

The module has a small volume, allowing users to incorporate it into designs where available real estate is limited. The product makes it easy to comply with global and local energy-efficiency regulations with its ultralow no-load power consumption of <0.1 W.

The series has an input range of 85-264 VAC input and the user can choose from five single-output DC voltage versions, 5/12/15/24/48 V. Its Class II design (no frame ground) enables compliance with EN55022 Class B and the series is supplied complete with C-Tick.

The flame-retardant plastic enclosure is filled with heat-conductive silicone to deliver good heat dissipation, resistance to dust and moisture and resistance to 5G vibration. As well as delivering an efficiency rating of up to 90%, the product has an operating temperature range of -30 to +70°C.

The company has incorporated short-circuit, overload and overvoltage protections and the series carries UL, CUL, TUV, CB and CE safety approvals.
