Magnetic encoders

Turck has introduced Sendix encoders with 12-bit analog and 14-bit CANopen outputs designed for applications requiring rugged, high-resolution encoders.

Die-cast housings, resistance to humidity and condensation and an IP69 k protection rating make them suitable for outdoor use.

The Kübler single-turn magnetic absolute encoders use Sensor-Protect to deliver fully encapsulated electronics and separated mechanical assembly, providing a high resistance to shock (rated to 500 g) and vibration (rated to 30 g).

The encoders are assembled using Safety-Lockplus. This uses interlocking bearings on the flange and a mechanically protected shaft seal to protect the encoder from external debris during installation.

These features, combined with an operating range of -50 to 85°C and the non-contact nature of the devices, help ensure resistance to wear.

The encoders are equipped with an LED to help ease installation and simplify diagnostics, as well as an integral cable or M12 connector.

Sendix encoders for CANopen networks may be programmed via the bus for node address, baud rate and termination, delivering fast, error-free start-up. This allows users to obtain position or speed data in real time. Other parameters such as scale factors, preset values and limit switch values may also be programmed via the bus.
