Monday, 17 January, 2011 | Supplied by: Interworld Electronics and Computer Industries

The SM-8X8-DVI series video matrix switch routes video from up to eight single link digital DVI-D video sources (computers, DVD players, satellite receivers, etc) to up to eight displays (LCD monitors, plasma screens, DLP HDTVs and projectors).

Two models are available. The SM-8X8-DVI-LCD switches DVI-D signals only while the SM-8X8-DVIA-LCD includes support for stereo analog audio.

The SM-8X8-DVI series can connect any input to any output and can broadcast one input to multiple outputs.

Extended display identification data (EDID) learning allows the SM-8X8-DVI series to adjust its video parameters to match the capabilities of the connected DVI display device.

With support for HDTV resolutions up to 1080p and computer resolutions up to 1920x1200 the SM-8X8-DVI series is suitable for educational institutions, conference centres and digital signage applications.

The series can be locally configured and controlled using the front panel buttons or controlled by using an IR remote, a serial port connection or via ethernet using a web browser or the Telnet protocol.
