Citrix Systems has available XenDesktop and has revealed details about the complete product range, including the release of an Express Edition offering free desktop virtualisation for up to 10 users and new enterprise and platinum editions.
All editions are optimised to work with the Desktop Receiver.
The product range offers users a choice of five different editions with varying levels of functionality designed to make desktop virtualisation a mainstream reality.
The editions include: Express — free desktop virtualisation for up to 10 users; Standard — offers entry-level desktop virtualisation; Advanced — an enterprise desktop virtualisation for organisations that have an existing application delivery already in place. It adds virtual desktop provisioning capabilities that reduce storage costs and simplify desktop life cycle management; Enterprise — includes fully integrated application delivery with XenAPP for Virtual Desktops; Platinum — for users looking to implement desktops as a service from the data centre. It adds extensive optimisation, security, monitoring and end user support benefits. The edition also includes EasyCall.
