Friday, 03 July, 2020 | Supplied by: Wireless Components

The 1219 from Empower RF Systems is a 500 to 6000 MHz amplifier designed to deliver 25 W minimum output power and related RF performance under all specified temperature and environmental conditions.

The solid-state, high-power amplifier is designed for RF product testing, broadband mobile jamming and band-specific high-power applications in the UHF, L, S and C frequency bands. Small, lightweight and rugged, the module utilises the latest high-power RF GaN transistors and features built-in control and monitoring, with protection functions to ensure high availability.

Additional features include: peak output power (Psat) of 25 W (min), 40 W (typ); small signal gain of 62 dB; small signal gain flatness of ±5 dB (max); operating voltage of 48 V; solid-state Class AB design; instantaneous ultra-broadband; suitability for CW, AM, FM and pulse; 50Ω input/output impedance; and an RS485 serial interface for monitoring and control.
