The TS-P36N from Transtech, is a PCI format card that features four DSPs and 128 MB SDRAM coupled to a Xilinx Virtex-11 FPGA for algorithm acceleration, and a 64 bit/66 MHz PMC interface for high-speed data input/output.
The TS-P36N is suitable for third generation telecommunications, software radio applications and imaging applications.
The 1.5 GFLOP/250 MHz TigerSHARC DSP at the heart of the TS-P36N is able to mix 1, 8, 16, 32, 64 bit fixed-point/32 bit floating point data types natively on one device, enabling parallel operations, data I/O and application development.
The DSP also has 6 Mb of onboard zero wait state SRAM allowing large amounts of data or programs to be stored on the chip for faster data processing.
Four 200 MBps bidirectional link ports allow direct data transfer between TigerSHARC DSPs, enabling data to be streamed around the system.
Link ports provide a mechanism to scale the number of DSPs within the system without relying on bus-based structures.
The TS-P36N includes a Xilinx Virtex-11 FPGA (XC2V1000 to XC2V3000) that can also be used to provide a high-speed digital interface with the choice of I/O configurations.
