Thursday, 22 April, 2010 | Supplied by: Cutter Electronics

Cree has introduced the LED Module LMR4 that integrates driver electronics, optics and primary thermal management, making the module drop-in-ready and speeding time to market for LED-based fixtures for lighting fixture manufacturers.

Designed to last 35,000 h while consuming 12 W of power, it delivers 700 lumens at a warm-white colour temperature of 2700 K with a CRI >90. Fixture manufacturers can include an optional heat sink to accommodate specific high-heat applications, such as downlights for insulated ceilings.

The LMR4 (120 V) is UL recognised and the LMR4 (230 V) is claimed to comply with multiple standards.

Fixture makers seeking Energy Star qualification will have access to specification and performance data, including LM-80 reports.
