The MicroCross advanced digital display 2 cards offer a solution for a compatible digital visual interface interconnection.
By inserting a card into the graphics controller of any Intel 915G-equipped motherboard or PC with a vacant PCI Express (PCIe) 16X slot port, users can connect to a DVI digital display.
The system will automatically load the MicroCross ADD2 card configuration, which is stored in a serial EEPROM.
The cards are suitable for desktop PC integrators, motherboard and ATM system manufacturers, as well as a variety of medical and kiosk applications. These small-sized boards offer dual monitor capability, allowing increased design flexibility.
They are also offered in versions to support two different Intel chassis architectures - the ADD2-N (non-lane reversed) for ATX systems and the ADD2-R (lane-reversed) for BTX systems.
Both card versions mate with MicroCross DVI-D receptacles and are available with a standard or low-profile PCIe bracket to provide an option according to the customer's chassis style.
