The Axis Communications has introduced AXIS M70 and AXIS P72 video encoder series have been released.

They enable cost-effective migration of analogue cameras into an IP-based video surveillance system and are suitable for locations such as service stations, convenience stores and small offices.

The series make it easy for analog CCTV systems to gain all the benefits of network video without discarding existing analog investments.

The expansion, with five encoders ranging from four to 16 channels, brings the range to 16 devices, most of them supporting the H.264 video compression format.

They all provide dual H.264 and motion JPEG streams and support power over ethernet (IEEE 802.3af).
