SmartKem launches ink evaluation kit for ‘flexible’ thin film transistors

Monday, 11 February, 2013

SmartKem Limited, the developer of high-performance, organic semiconductor materials for flexible electronics, has launched an ink evaluation kit which uses the company’s scientific expertise to streamline the process of producing prototype flexible thin film transistors (TFTs). The development kit will allow companies to use SmartKem’s knowledge and intellectual property to create high mobility, best-in-class TFT devices with a focus on flexible displays for use in smartphones and tablets. SmartKem will also provide clients with technical support and consultation throughout their development processes.

Based on SmartKem’s existing organic semiconductor inks, the development kit will combine technology, IP and data sheets containing materials safety documents, processing instructions and tutorials. Each kit will be bespoke and tailored in line with the nature and experience of each client’s business and their unique goals and applications. The kit will be provided alongside an integration and education program.
