Mini-Circuits ZVVA-3000 continuously variable attenuator

Mini Circuits’ ZVVA-3000 is a 50Ω RF variable attenuator combining the benefits of a voltage variable design with the convenience and ease of use of a software-controlled step attenuator. It is suitable for signal level calibration, gain control feedback circuits, automated test equipment and control systems.

The product operates from 20 MHz to 3 GHz with fine attenuation steps of 0.1 dB and monotonic attenuation transitions, eliminating uncontrolled ‘glitches’ when transitioning from one attenuation to the next. It is housed in a compact and rugged package with SMA female connectors for the bidirectional input and output RF ports.

The device can be controlled via USB or RS232 (via D-Sub connector). The software package includes the company’s user-friendly GUI application for Windows and a full API with programming instructions for Windows and Linux environments, both 32- and 64-bit systems.
