Maxim MAX14979E passive switch

Maxim has introduced the MAX14979E, a passive switch for high-speed LVDS signal routing for switchable graphics. Its ultra-low on-capacitance (8 pF, typ) and on-resistance (4  Ω, typ) minimise return and insertion losses to preserve signal quality at high data rates.

In addition, the device includes ±15 kV ESD protection (human body model) on all pins. The device switches four lanes of high-speed LVDS signals and three sets of AUX signals, making it suitable for routing LVDS signals from notebook PCs to external monitors.

The switch operates from a single 3.3 V supply and is fully specified over the -40 to +85°C extended temperature range.
