InvenSense’s digital MEMS microphones combine high-performance MEMS elements with low-noise, high-SNR, wide dynamic range CMOS technology. The INMP441 is a high-performance, low-power, digital-output, omnidirectional MEMS microphone with a bottom port.
The product consists of a MEMS sensor, signal conditioning, an analog-to-digital converter, anti-aliasing filters, power management and a 24-bit I2S interface. The interface allows the product to connect directly to digital processors, such as DSPs, microcontrollers and Bluetooth audio modules like Bluegiga’s WT32, without the need for an audio codec in the system.
The unit has a high SNR and sensitivity, making it suitable for far field applications. It also has a flat wideband frequency response, resulting in natural sound with high intelligibility.
The device is available in a thin 4.72 x 3.76 x 1 mm surface-mount package. It is reflow solder compatible, with no sensitivity degradation, and halide-free.
