Advantech UNO-2173A and UNO-2173AF fanless box PCs
The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech has released two Atom-based fanless box PCs, UNO-2173A and UNO-2173AF. They are equipped with Atom 1.6 GHz CPUs, gigabit ethernet ports, rich I/Os, 1 x mini-PCIe socket for WLAN and 3G solutions and Moblin (Mobile Linux) support.
The models are also compatible with Windows 7, have passed Energy Star certification, include IP40 anti-dust protection and feature a wide operating temperature (-20 ~ 70°C).
UNO-2173A has a single-side I/O, one onboard DDR2 SDRAM, one gigabit ethernet port, one VGA, two RS-232, two USB ports, one internal printer port, one CompactFlash slot and one built-in 2.5″ SATA HDD/SDD bracket for storage.
The UNO-2173AF has dual side I/Os including all the ports of the UNO-2173A, but also incorporating an LVDS port (low-voltage differential signalling), a backlight control port, 5.1 channel HD audio, an additional RS422/485 port, three additional USB ports and one internal USB pin head.
Power saving features such as increased DC/DC conversion efficiency and reduced standby consumption are features of the PCs. Both have various operating efficiency modes such as off, sleep and idle so that users can save up to 50% of energy.
Applications can be developed on Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Linux or Embedded OS such as Windows XP Embedded and Embedded Linux. And as with the UNO-2182, UNO-3272 and UNO-3282, the UNO-2173A and UNO-2173AF have been tested and approved for use with Windows 7 OS.
