Advantech MIO-5270 MI/O extension single board computer

The multiple I/O extension single board computer, MIO-5270, is now available.

The computer is powered by AMD G-Series single-core/dual-core processor with A50M FCH, DDR3 up to 4 GB.

It supports an advanced graphic engine with DirectX 11, 2D/3D acceleration and hardware decoding (UVD 3):H.264, VC-1 and MPEG2 and features 24/48-bit LVDS, HDMI and VGA display capability.

The 48-bit LVDS supports panels up to 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz on T56N, and up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz on T40R/T40E/T44R. HDMI supports up to 1920 x 1080 p resolution and VGA is also supported for embedded applications.

The extended interface connector integrates: display port, 4 PCIe x1, LPC, SMBus, USB 2.0/USB 3.0, audio line-out and power.

It has a concentrated thermal design on the top-side via a heatsink/spreader to prevent thermal problems and less cabling to reduce assembly efforts.

Although the MIO-5270 supports the DirectX11 graphic engine, it still delivers low power consumption at 10.5 to 23 W. For improved reliability in extreme environments, the design has 100% solid capacitors for better MTBF and stability compared with electrolytic capacitors.

It has a wide temperature range and a TG-150 PCB type that allows the PCB to endure higher temperatures. It also comes with value-added software services like iManager and SUSIAccess for remote monitoring, configuring and system recovery.
