An industrial-grade, mini-ITX motherboard supporting the latest Core i7/i5/Celeron mobile processors with FCPGA 988 sockets has been released.

Core i7, i5 and Celeron mobile series processors feature intelligent performance, power efficiency, and integrated Intel HD graphics with DX10 support.

AIMB-270 is capable of SATA RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 to ensure reliable storage and system protection for network applications.

The Intel turbo boost monitor application is a Windows sidebar gadget that provides a simple display of processor frequency. This further improves performance by allowing processor cores to run at higher frequencies within the available thermal envelope.

Intel hybrid multi-monitor enables concurrent function of an integrated graphics processing unit alongside a discrete GPU solution, allowing for operability of greater than two independently driven displays.

The board is supplied with connectivity and expansion options including: one PCIe x16 expansion slot, six serial ports, four SATA II 300 MBps connectors, eight USB 2.0 ports, dual display output with several display output interface options: VGA, DVI and LVDS (LVDS supports 3.3, 5 and 12 V for large-sized panels).

The board is also supplied with software RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support, offering data storage and data protection and dual PCI Express-based gigabit (Intel 82577LM and 82583V) ethernet ports delivering up to 1000 Mbps of bandwidth for network-intensive applications.

This is packed into a power-efficient Mini-ITX form factor.

With the graphics engine integrated onto the processor chip, it provides enhanced graphics performance compared with previous Intel platforms. The integrated graphics controller includes dynamic video memory technology and clear video technology.
