SiTime MEMS-based timing products now available from Digi-Key
Electronic components distributor Digi-Key has announced a global distribution agreement with analog semiconductor company SiTime.
SiTime has developed core technical expertise in MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) technology, analog CMOS circuit design and development, and assembly and test. The company’s silicon MEMS-based oscillators and clock generators are claimed to provide drop-in replacements for legacy quartz crystal oscillator products, with higher performance and better reliability.
“Performance and reliability are always at the forefront of requirements for electronic components, especially in areas as integral as timing,” said Digi-Key Vice President Global Semiconductor Product Mark Zack. “SiTime’s MEMS-based timing solutions check all these boxes, in addition to offering cost reduction over legacy quartz products.”
Furthermore, SiTime enables each device to be configured to the user’s exacting specifications. Using programmability, parameters such as frequency, operating voltage, amount of spread spectrum and output enable or standby can be specified by the user.
“Digi-Key is an ideal partner to drive and fulfil the increasing worldwide demand for SiTime’s MEMS timing solutions,” said Piyush Sevalia, Executive Vice President of Marketing at SiTime.
“We are excited to partner with Digi-Key and offer SiTime’s revolutionary MEMS timing solutions to their large, worldwide customer base.”
All of SiTime’s robust, silicon-based timing solutions are available on the Digi-Key website or by visiting the SiTime Supplier Marketing Center
