Axiomtek has introduced the MANO321 — a fanless, low-profile Mini-ITX motherboard with 5G capability to develop IoT environments. It features the low-power-consumption Intel Celeron processor J6412 (codename: Elkhart Lake) and two 260-pin DDR4-3200/2666/2400 SO-DIMM slots for up to 32 GB of system memory.
The low-profile design lowers the height of the board by half of the standard Mini-ITX form factor, making it flexible for various IoT applications. To enable 5G connection, it has a SIM card slot and an M.2 Key B slot with USB 3.1 interface, which allows adding a 3042/3052 5G module to gain the connection. For display-related applications, the device supports triple-view with one HDMI 2.0, one VGA and one LVDS. In terms of expansion, the industrial motherboard provides one PCI Express Mini Card slot and one PCIe x4 slot with PCIe x2 signal.
The Mini-ITX motherboards are widely deployed in industrial control applications and can be used for digital signage applications in retail and public transportation venues. The fanless device offers rich features, high computing power, a slim form factor and graphics-rich performance. With 5G capability and low latency, the product can make the IoT truly feasible in the manufacturing industry. Its low-profile design is also suitable for limited space and installation flexibility.
The device features rich I/O options including one SATA600 connector, two Gigabit Ethernet with support of Wake-on-LAN and Boot ROM, four USB 3.1, four USB 2.0, six COM, 8-CH DIO, HDMI, VGA, LVDS and one SMBus pin header, which make the board ready for the industrial environment. If users require more storage space, it provides one mSATA and one SDHX slot. The M.2 Key B slot can also be compatible with SATA interface for 2242 SSD. The product supports Linux and Windows operating systems, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 and a watchdog timer for optimal security.
