Developed by eDevice, the rf2IP is a wireless local network connected to the internet.
It enables remote communication with one or more electronic installations (probes, relay controls, electricity meters, etc), forming a wireless local network.
An rf2IP network is particularly suitable for low rate machine to machine communication with a range of over 200 m in an open area; power consumption is optimised for operation from batteries.
The bidirectional rf2IP network consists of an eDgate (internet gateway) and from 1 to 16 eDnodes (radio nodes) and operates in the 868/915 MHz band.
It can be used to set up a temperature probe for monitoring the cold chain in a warehouse. Detectors for displaying door and relay opening/closing and setting off alarms can also be connected to the same network.
All the data can be recorded and dispatched weekly to an FTP server. When an anomaly is detected, an email is sent to a technician who can inspect the state of the probes using a web browser.
